I'd Rather Be a Hamster

They sleep...

And eat...

And play...

What's not to envy?

I'm hearing you loud and clear here! ugh! DH is out of town (on a Nat Geo boat in the Bering Sea) for the next week to 10 days and I have Grandma & DD & 90 bazillion critters to take care of BY MY FREAKIN SELF until he gets home...and then of course he'll be all pumped up.."yeah, I'm the man."..winning some bread and all that stuff...and will want to be cuddled and coddled and all just cuz he was in one of the most dangerous places on earth...hamster...yeah..but their life is really just too short...I'm seriously seriously seriously wanting to do Salt Spring Island for the gansey class....go jayne go!

How do you keep track of these little guys when you let them out? We haven't had kittens in many years, but when we did it was quite a project to find them if they were snoozing somewhere out of sight. One time our little Tigger slid down between the sofa pillows and the back of the sofa and we couldn't find her for hours!

Your li'l guys are so cute!

That's still too far away to decide, Lisa, but I do hear you!!

CBM, we have to keep an eye on them when they're out, or else we have them contained somewhere (on the stairs, on us, or in one of those plastic hamster balls. When they get a bit older, we can let them run all over the living room floor, under couches, etc. But then we need to watch and keep track with a flashlight. Eventually they come out.
